Land Assistant
Discovery Natural Resources LLC is a domestic, onshore exploration and production company with over 1,000 wells in operation in Texas.
The Land Assistant provides support within the Land Administration department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Land Administration department
- Scanning, linking and filing land documentation while adhering to Land Document Retention Policy.
- Create all types of land files, including wells, title opinions, leases and contracts.
- Submit all requests for vendor / owner name and address records.
- Prepare all mailings requiring special handling.
- Prepare and mail requests for recording.
- Prepare check requests for recordings and miscellaneous land payments.
- Monitor wells down and update well master records with well status and associated information.
- Assist with audit processes, as well as other Land projects as needed.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- Minimum three years’ experience with an in-house Oil & Gas Operator, Land and Lease Administration Department.
- Land and lease systems experience, with BOLO experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
- Estimated pay range: $60,000 – $72,000 (depending on experience of the successful candidate)
