Measurement Foreman
Discovery Natural Resources LLC is a domestic, onshore exploration and production company with over 1,000 wells in operation in Texas.
The Measurement Foreman coordinates and supervises the day-to-day operations of measurement personnel. The Foreman is responsible for ensuring that gas and oil measurement meets or exceeds industry and regulatory standards, while cultivating a culture that is selfless, accountable, and never settling.
Primary Responsibilities
- Follow and support all Discovery HSE policies.
- Lead and manage the daily activities of the measurement department, including verifying the proper operation of meter and gas sensing equipment, meter calibration, gas sampling, LACT Unit and allocation meter proving, oil sampling, meter repair, maintenance, and installation of gas and oil measurement equipment.
- Coordinate and manage high-level troubleshooting, measurement problem detection, and field balancing needs.
- Direct and oversee third-party witnessing activities to verify accurate measurement of oil and gas volumes.
- Be directly responsible for the technical development of company technicians.
- Lead the development and optimization of measurement policies, procedures, standards, and compliance requirements for oil and gas meter calibrations, samplings, equipment testing, and software testing.
- Lead cross-departmental collaboration to ensure excellence in execution of projects.
- Be accountable for departmental budgets, including developing, prioritizing, executing, tracking, and meeting budget goals.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 8+ years of field measurement or related oil and gas experience.
- 3 – 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.

- Competent in measurement standards (API, AGA, etc.).
- Familiarity with Total Flow and ABB programming language.
- Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and repair freewave radios and networks.
- Proficient in computer applications (Wellview, SiteView, Outlook, Excel, Word, and measurement-specific software
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
May require occasional lifting of heavy objects. Physical ability to perform routine maintenance on oil and gas wells as required.
