Oversee delivery of all production engineering responsibilities for the assigned area from conceptualization, through design, execution, and review/optimization. Position responsibilities include supervision of surface processing and downhole lift design, equipment and service procurement, project logistics, cost management, onsite operations, and safety efforts for the entirety of the production cycle from turn in line through the well life to plug and abandon. This role’s primary focus will be the optimization and maintenance of producing properties at the maximum economic rate while ensuring operations are compliant with governmental and contractual requirements.
Most of the job is done in an office setting. Field travel required 10–15%; adverse weather conditions may exist. Variable work hours including nights and weekends.

The Senior Operational Accountant ensures correct well cost accounting including month end allocations, overhead, property tax, and insurance. S/he will have primary responsibility for managing the Company’s Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) process, including administering the AFE workflow system, creating new AFEs in the accounting system and completing all required monitoring controls associated with the AFE program. Additionally, s/he will setup and maintain the Asset Tracking module in the Company accounting system including fixed asset and well equipment inventory accounting. S/he will be responsible for supporting the analytical program to evaluate well and area capital and operating expense allocations, as well as reviewing field G&A coding. The Senior Operational Accountant processes Company field employee billing while maintaining effective communication with operations, accounting personnel and personnel from other functional areas. Strong technical systems knowledge and application skills are essential. S/he documents accounting and administrative procedures, provides accounting support/system inquiries from accounting and other functional area personnel and assists Accounting, Operations and other field personnel as needed.

Responsibilities will include coordinating and executing the policies, programs, and procedures necessary to authorize and operate upstream oil and gas facilities in compliance with state and federal regulations. This position is located in Discovery’s Denver office and requires regular travel (25-50%) to field facilities in Texas and periodic work in outdoor and industrial facility environments. This position requires a self-motivated, hard-working team player who pays attention to details. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate that he or she can take ownership of the job responsibilities and hold themselves accountable for their successful completion.

Position responsibilities include supervision of engineering professionals in surface processing and downhole lift design, value optimization, equipment and service procurement, project management, onsite operations, and safety efforts for the entirety of the production cycle from turn in line through the well life to plug and abandon. Additionally, this position will be responsible for development of budgets and schedules, cost management, key performance reporting, and strategic planning activities to drive the success of the organization in the operations AOR. The Engineering Manager will work closely with Field Operations, Development Team personnel, Third Party stakeholders, Regulatory, HSE, and Land functions.

Reporting to the Control Room Supervisor, the Control Room Operator position will support the overall monitoring of maintenance of the field operations to ensure that everything is working properly, and prioritized items are handled in a timely fashion. This position will watch closely to identify any abnormal operating and equipment conditions. This position carries a large range of duties and must be able to adapt and adjust to the needs of operational strategies at any given point in time.
*Work is performed in a normal office setting, requiring long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional field travel required.
