The Accounts Payable Technician’s main job function is to apply correct coding on invoices and electronic field tickets based on operational activity. The qualified candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, accounting personnel, procurement department, operations and other Company employees. The AP Tech also documents accounting and administrative procedures, performs general filing and assists the Denver AP department as needed.

Under the direction of the Revenue Manager, the Senior Revenue Accountant’s primary responsibility will be to process revenues and apply severance taxes related to operated and non-operated revenues and prepare related revenue accruals and cash entries. This includes but is not limited to: applying revenue deductions based on contracts for gathering, compression, transportation, and other post production costs; reviewing division of interest changes; processing owner suspense reallocations received from Land Department; and reconciling relevant general ledger accounts.

This position will perform trouble shooting, diagnosis, maintenance and repairs on company owned compression packages and other equipment as required. Provides feedback for the development of operating practices, and forecasts for parts and materials for assigned units. May assist in other field activities on occasion.

Under the general supervision of the Automation Foreman, the Automation Technician is responsible for complex oilfield automation tasks to aid in the oversight for the optimization of oilfield automation and communications systems. The position requires the individual to assist Field personnel, Production, Construction and Engineering staff to implement and maintain automation equipment in a field environment. When problems occur, the Automation Technician is responsible for handling the immediate problem and recommending any necessary changes. Must desire to work in a collaborative multi-functional team setting that prioritizes a “One Team” approach to problem solving, and that can bring a continuous improvement mindset to the team.
*Majority of work will be outdoors under variable weather conditions. May require occasional lifting of heavy objects. Physical ability to perform routine maintenance on oil and gas wells as required. Must be aware of potential hazards and know how to handle emergency situations. Hazards include fluids under high pressure and deadly hydrogen sulphide which is often a component of gas that comes directly from the well.

Reporting to the Director of HS&E, this position will support air quality permitting and compliance activities for Discovery’s operations in the Permian Basin. Responsibilities will include coordinating and executing the policies, programs, and procedures necessary to authorize and operate upstream oil and gas facilities in compliance with state and federal regulations. This position is located in Discovery’s field office and requires regular travel (30-50%) to local field facilities and periodic work in outdoor and industrial facility environments. This position requires a self-motivated, hard-working team player who pays attention to details. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate that they can take ownership of the job responsibilities and hold themselves accountable for their successful completion.
