Responsible environmental practices are paramount and at the core of Discovery’s operations. We constantly strive to be stewards of the environment and the communities in which we live, work and operate by minimizing the impact of our operations on the air, water and land. To that end, we produce our abundant natural resources in a manner that meets or exceeds all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. We also require our contractors to have similar programs and procedures in place, and we review their performance quarterly to ensure they remain in compliance with our standards.

Spill Prevention and Mitigation
Discovery uses industry best practices and invests in equipment to reduce the frequency and volume of spills and minimize their impact
Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions
We invest in infrastructure and equipment to monitor and reduce emissions to minimize our carbon footprint
Water Management
We manage water usage with the goal of maximizing the use of recycled water and minimizing draw from aquifers
HSE Performance Tracking and Reporting
Discovery conducts regular HSE audits to assess performance and map progress against HSE goals
Community and Social Impact
We encourage volunteer efforts in local communities and make annual donations to non-profits and charities
