Maintenance Operator
Discovery Natural Resources LLC is a domestic, onshore exploration and production company with over 1,000 wells in operation in Texas.
The Maintenance Operator troubleshoots and evaluates production facility/equipment related problems and works with the team to develop and implement repairs and maintenance schedules.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support Maintenance Foreman in daily maintenance activities.
- Supervise contract inspectors and roustabout crews performing maintenance work.
- Plan/schedule/prioritize maintenance activities based on production volumes, and HSE risk level.
- Develop and implement standardized parts lists for common maintenance activities.
- Report and track cost associated with maintenance activity.
- Seek and identify potential process improvements for maintenance work.
- Identify failure trends in production equipment and work with team to develop solution.
- Follow and support all Discovery HSE policies at all times.
- Determine if safety hazard exists and take appropriate action.
- Locate and mark buried lines and infrastructure.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years oilfield industry experience
- Minimum of 3 years lease operator experience
- Minimum of 2 years workover experience preferred

- Requires ability to adapt to fluctuating work schedule, i.e. frequent overtime; off duty call outs; varied work schedule.
- Strong communication skills with ability to work in team environment.
- Advanced computer knowledge.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Valid driver license and good driving record.
*Majority of work will be outdoors under variable weather conditions. May require occasional lifting of heavy objects. Physical ability to perform routine maintenance on oil and gas wells as required.
