Discovery Natural Resources LLC is a domestic, onshore exploration and production company with over 1,000 wells in operation in Texas.

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the Production Foreman supervises a lead lease operator, company, and contract lease operators, and assigned field optimizer(s). The Production Foreman is responsible for ensuring accuracy of production volumes, prioritization of high value projects, coordination of new well operations, optimization of base production, and cost tracking, while cultivating a culture that is selfless, accountable, and never settling.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accountable for departmental budgets. Developing, prioritizing, executing, tracking, and meeting budget
  • Leads and manages daily activities of the assigned production sub-department, which may include validation of production volumes, troubleshooting production related variances, cost tracking, turning new wells inline, optimization of base production, and coaching and mentoring of direct reports
  • Directly responsible for the technical development of company and contract resources
  • Collaborates with peers on the development and optimization of production related policies, procedures, standards and compliance documents and training

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of production operations related experience
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience preferred

  • Valid driver license and good driving record

Majority of work will be outdoors under variable weather conditions. May require occasional lifting of heavy objects. Physical ability to perform routine maintenance on oil and gas wells as required.
